Terms of use

What Later is

Later lets you write a message on a printed card so someone can read it after a timer runs out. You need an account to write; readers do not.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, make sure a parent or guardian is fine with you using Later.

Your messages

You own what you write. By saving a message you allow us to store it, moderate it, and show it to whoever scans the card. Messages are moderated automatically and, when reported, by a person. Threats, harassment, sexual content involving minors, and instructions for self-harm are not allowed and will be withheld from readers. Sexual or graphic content shows a warning first.

Withdrawing a message

You can delete a message at any time; readers then see that it was withdrawn. We may withdraw or withhold a message that breaks these terms, and we may close accounts that repeatedly do.

Cards and timers

Timers start when a card is first scanned and cannot be shortened afterwards. Unscanned messages expire after 90 days; read messages after a year on the free plan.

What we are not responsible for

Later is provided as is. We are not liable for lost messages, missed timers, printing problems, or how someone reacts to what you wrote. Use it kindly.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above tells you when. Questions: reply to any email we have sent you.
